Annandale is comprised of just under 8 square miles and is approximately 12 miles Southwest of Washington, DC.
Smack-dab in Annandale town’s center is where Route 236, Columbia Pike, and Backlick Road all intersect. To the west is Interstate 495, the highway that circles Washington D.C, commonly known as “The Beltway.”
Located just off of Interstates 395 and 495, it is nestled in just west of Alexandria City and just north of Springfield.
Bus service links Little River Turnpike to the Pentagon Metro Station, transporting commuters in under 30 minutes. Annandale’s close proximity to both 395 and 495 provide for easy commuting by car.

Annandale derives its name from Annandale village, at the mouth of the Annan river in Scotland.
